Workington Finches suffered their first defeat of 2020 as they went down 46 - 5 to Sandal Warriors in West Yorkshire.

However, the result does not reflect the Finches' performance as they delivered consistent mauling and rucking from kick off to final whistle as well as feisty tackling - especially from captain Charlotte Cammack.

Sammy Jo Cole scored the Finches' only try and she was very unlucky not to have at least one more as she caused Sandal plenty of concern with her tireless running, nifty moves and firm ball control.

The Finches are back on their travels this Sunday as they visit unbeaten Chester Devas before back to back home games at The Ellis on the following two Sundays.
