Workington Finches once again underlined their promotion credentials as they produced their fourth victory in five games with a convincing 51 - 10 success at Ormskirk to move top of North 2 West.

For the second match in succession, captain Charlotte Bowman delivered a hat trick and she was joined by Lauren Coulson with her own treble. with other tries coming from Shaz Dunne and two from Nicole Stewart who also helped herself to three conversions.

It's back to The Ellis for the Finches this Sunday as they host second place Littleborough for what promises to be a fascinating encounter that could prove decisive in the push for promotion.
